To grasp how this became possible, it is essential to examine the relationship between two elements: the country’s physical geography and its radar coverage. IRAN: ANATOMIA DI UNA VULNERABILITÀ TRA OROGRAFIA E TATTICHE BELLICHE  Il recente attacco israeliano nel cuore del territorio iraniano non ha rappresentato solo un notevole successo strategico, ma anche un colpo difficile da dimenticare, inferto a un sistema di difesa che si presumeva meno vulnerabile. Per diverse ore, le catene di comando iraniane sono rimaste nel caos totale, e i radar non le hanno aiutate. Per comprendere come sia stato possibile, bisogna analizzare la connessione di due fattori: la geografia fisica e la copertura radar.  L’Iran è un paese grande, contraddistinto da una complessa struttura orografica in cui abbondano deserti, altipiani e montagne.
